After relying on Prada Beauty for the previous two Spider-Man: Brand New Day premieres, celebrity makeup artist Ernesto Casillas switched to Charlotte Tilbury to create Zendaya’s beauty look for the London premiere.

The brief was simply, “effortless and romantic beauty,” and the finished result captured exactly that.

While Zendaya’s beauty look for the LA premiere embraced a darker, vampier mood to complement her dramatic Ashi Studio Couture gown. The Tamara Ralph Couture dress still nodded to the Spider-Man narrative through its crystal web detailing, but its softer palette called for a beauty look with a lighter touch.

Casillas began by prepping Zendaya’s skin with Charlotte’s Magic Cream, Charlotte’s Magic Serum Crystal Elixir and Charlotte’s Magic Lip Oil Crystal Elixir before creating a luminous complexion using Beautiful Skin Foundation in 7N and Airbrush Flawless Blur Concealer in 5.5. The healthy glow was enhanced with the Unreal Highlighter Fresh Healthy Glow Stick, while Beautiful Skin Sun-Kissed Glow Bronzer in shade 2 added warmth.

The romantic flush came from the Matte Beauty Blush Wand in Pillow Talk layered with Pillow Talk Lip and Cheek Glow in Color Of Passion, before everything was perfected with Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder in shades 1 and 2, then locked into place using the Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray.

Keeping the focus on Zendaya’s radiant skin, the eyes were softly defined with the Exagger-Eyes Easy Eyeshadow Stick in Minx Sculpt, Exagger-Eyes Volume Mascara and Brow Cheat in Dark Brown. Her lips were finished with Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk Medium, which tied the romantic colour palette together without pulling focus from the rest of the look.

The result was every bit as considered as the makeup worn for the previous premiere, but where that beauty look reinforced the darker side of the Spider-Man story, this one embraced a softer, more romantic interpretation.
