We couldn’t have had this moment in London or New York?

I had been waiting for a look like this. So, when I thought the press tour had wrapped, I assumed the dream was over. Thankfully, I was wrong, because dreams apparently come in the form of a Louis Vuitton silver metal chain dress layered over a black bodysuit.

It reads more gold than silver in these photos, but that’s down to the backdrop, the lighting and the camera flashes, all of which cast a warm golden glow over the look.

The sculptural Givenchy from earlier in the day was certainly a fashion moment, but this instantly took me back to Charlize’s iconic 2011 Dior J’Adore campaign, where she appeared bathed in liquid gold. The shimmering chains create a similarly mesmerising effect, but with a modern edge.

What I love most is how perfectly this aligns with The Odyssey. There is something armour-like about it that feels entirely in keeping with the film’s epic scale, yet it never slips into obvious method dressing. It captures the mood without spelling it out.

I’ve been spectacularly wrong this week when it comes to predicting the end of press tours, but if this really is Charlize’s final look, what a glorious way to bow out.

When Charlize first stepped out in London, I said that Givenchy black dress wasn’t worth the wait. This Louis Vuitton? It was worth the wait… and then some.
