Ella Rubin Wore Louis Vuitton To The ‘Sterling Point’ New York Premiere

Ella Rubin attended Prime Video’s Sterling Point world premiere held at Regal Union Square in New York City on Monday.

The young actress wore a white Louis Vuitton jersey cocktail dress that immediately reminded me of something Nicolas Ghesquière has quietly mastered over the years: the minimalist white dress. No one delivers it quite like he does.

Ana de Armas at the Louis Vuitton Mythica High Jewellery Collection launch, which remains my personal favourite. Then there was Renate Reinsve at the Fjord Cannes Film Festival premiere.

There is something about the way Ghesquière approaches simplicity. The clean lines, precise tailoring and sculpted silhouettes never feel plain. Instead, they allow the wearer to take centre stage.

Ella might be relatively new to the red carpet, but she couldn’t have asked for a better first Louis Vuitton look. The halterneck design, which looks like a rerun of Emma Mackay’s Cannes dress, felt modern, and refined, while the sleek silhouette and uncluttered styling gave the look an outer confidence.

My only criticism is the black mules, they do disappeared into the dark blue carpet. However, someone recently pointed out that pairing a white dress with white shoes can sometimes feel too clinical, so I would’ve opted for silver on this occasion instead.
