Monica Barbaro’s Heatwave Approved Sandy Liang Gingham Look
Monica Barbaro was out in New York City on Sunday promoting One Night Only with her co-star Callum Turner, but all eyes were on Monica.

How could you not notice someone walking through Manhattan in a gingham bralette and matching midi skirt?
Gingham has long been a warm-weather staple, and the blue-and-white check has an unmistakable retro charm, yet the bralette-and-midi-skirt pairing kept it from feeling like a throwback.
Sandy Liang gave the familiar pattern a fresh twist by reimagining it as coordinated separates rather than the expected sundress. The combination struck a nice balance between playful and grown-up, while the full skirt softened the tiny proportions of the bralette. It felt light, unfussy and exactly the sort of outfit you want to wear during a heatwave.

The look was styled with white pumps and a Dior Toujours Hobo bag, but for me, the gingham set was always going to be the main attraction.
Stylist: Elizabeth Saltzman.
