It turns out Inde Navarrette’s effortlessly cool summer style easily transitions to fall.

On September 8 the Obsession star made a strong case for omitting jorts from your annual wardrobe swap by stepping out in a cozy fall look that slots into my personal favorite category of dress: laundry-day chic. Instead of running out of the house in Uggs and sweats, she instantly elevated her oversized red crewneck sweater and chestnut Ultra Mini Boots with a pair of midlength denim shorts.

It turns out, all you have to do to extend the life of your summer jean shorts is treat every other aspect of your look as if the forecast falls below 50 degrees. In this case, she accessorized these everyday basics with chunky scrunched-up socks, a striped beanie, and a large black hobo bag.
