WNBA Players With Signature Shoesâand How to Buy Them

WNBA tunnel walks may be the new runway, but the basketball court has always doubled as a fashion show for sneakerheads. After all, nothing stands out in a sea of matching jerseys than a pair of flashy kicks, especially when the woman wearing them had a hand in their design.
Who better to test drive high-performance sneakers than professional athletes who canât afford to risk their stats (or ankles) on a shoddy product? I donât know about you, but thereâs no one Iâd trust more with my arches than four-time MVP Aâja Wilson, nor to pick out prettier color combos than Met Gala host committee member and Victoriaâs Secret model Angel Reese.
With that in mind, it should come as no surprise that brands like Nike, Reebok, and New Balance are clamoring to lock in the most popular and fashionable basketball stars before theyâre even drafted into the W. And yet, while countless WNBA players are signing sponsorship deals and releasing player-exclusive editions of popular designs, fewer than 20 of them have been honored with a signature athletic sneaker since Sheryl Swoopes became the first woman to have one in 1995.
Currently, only five active WNBA stars have created their own signature sneakersâand four of those players are serving as starters in the 2026 WNBA All-Star Game in Chicago this Saturday. You know, in case you needed proof of concept before you purchase your next pair of gym shoes.
Breanna Stewart â Puma Stewie
In 2022, New York Liberty forward Breanna Stewart became the first WNBA player to score a signature sneaker since 2012, when Candace Parker and Adidas released the Ace Versatility. Now in its fifth model, the Puma Stewie is a breathable, lightweight sneaker that promises âall-day comfortâ with vibrant details on even the most neutral pairs.
