The Venice Film Festival has drawn to a close, so here are the final notable red carpet moments from the weekend.

Matthieu Blazy is having quite the moment with red at this festival. First there was Penélope Cruz, and now Carole Bouquet, who dazzled in a red sequinned Chanel gown.

The sequins caught the evening light beautifully, and I’m completely hypnotised by it all. Styled with Chanel High Jewelry, this was one of my favourite looks from the entire festival.

Mélanie Laurent opted for an Elie Saab Fall 2025 Haute Couture off-the-shoulder gown. While there is a familiarity to the design, the delicate embellishment elevated the look, which I feel should have been hemmed.

Olivia Nuss channelled a modern-day Venus in her white Louis Vuitton draped dress.

The fluid, column-like silhouette and softly draped cowl neckline gave the look that classical quality, while the simplicity gave it a modern feel. White satin Louis Vuitton sandals and an Idylle Blossom ring and earrings from Louis Vuitton Fine Jewelry completed her look.

Alma Noce continued Louis Vuitton’s strong presence in Venice with this black jersey gown, with the cut-out giving a simple black dress its point of interest.

A Louis Vuitton Mythica High Jewelry Mesmerism brooch on the sleeve added the finishing touch.

Romana Maggiora Vergano joined her co-star Jasmine Trinca on the red carpet wearing a Chanel Fall 2026 dress.

The black halterneck dress is understated, but the embellished neckline and pleating give the silhouette enough interest. My only issue is the pumps, which make the look feel heavier than it needs to be. This needed a lighter footwear option.

Closing Ceremony

Maggie Gyllenhaal wore a Prada black apron dress layered over blue mutton-style sleeves embellished with teardrop embroidery and silver micro jet beads.

I would have been on board with this had it been one colour, because I like the idea of the design. But the contrast between the black dress and embellished blue sleeves is stopping me from loving it.

Chanel ambassador Carole Bouquet returned for the closing ceremony in a second look from the house.

It may not have the colour, but I am just as enamoured. She is just so elegant, and I enjoyed seeing these two sides of Chanel on Carole.
